It should. Massacring civilians is unpopular whether they want to care about it or not. And all leaders depend on some degree of popular legitimacy.
The Iranians have been behaving like human beings trying to defend their home; while the American government, the defenders of their illegal invasion and the moral relativists trying their best to deflect blame for all this killing have been behaving like barbarian genocidal pigs. They will never be able to wash away these crimes. History will always remember them as psychopaths.
