As noted in the article, two storage options and with or without a steam controller is the most likely reason for ffour.conaistent with steam deck having two options for memory but doubled for optional controller.
- 512 GB without controller
- 1 TB without controller
- 512 GB with controller
- 1 TB with controller
I bet they wanted to launch with a $999/$1099 set, but they’re gonna be forced into a $1,199/$1,399 set because of the shortages.
Edit: I still have no doubt that the launch will be the stuff of legends
(if I didn’t desperately need a new phone, I might consider buying one)
I feel like that pricing might be optimistic. They are obviously putting off release because component costs mean they’ll have to go with a pricetag that makes the product DOA. They’re in a shitty position, really.
