      I have the keyboard plugged into a monitor and accessing the USB hub is seriously complicated, so that’s not really an option for me.

      But I could try locking the system. I just hope I won’t lock myself out for few hours, because I have pressed Enter multiple times while cleaning it.

        You can use a pair of scissors to terminate the connection anywhere along the wire and it will achieve the same thing

        Create a new local user w/o permissions and switch to that login before cleaning it. That way you only lock a fake user lol.

        Guessing unplugging from the monitor is difficult as well?

          Why not just write a script that would brick your PC so there is no risk anything would go wrong cleaning, and then just reinstall your OS when you’re done?
