“Hi what’s your name ?”
“John, what’s yours ?”
“Mike. Do you want be my friend ?”
“Yes”
I met the kid at a Shoppers (remember those?). He was playing with his Bionicle and asked me if I liked them and talking to him felt so natural. Never asked his name. Never saw him after that. Just a memory. 👌
That’s part of human development, not a tragedy
Wrong meme template, but the story hits right in the emotions. I once met a kid on an Outward Bound boat trip. We spent the entire time talking about fantasy novels, and did not really interact with anyone else. Trip lasted a week. We were 12. Never saw him again.
How exactly does the text match the meme?
Isn’t it supposed to be someone looking down / disappointed on someone else for their actions?
It’s from the 2006 movie Monster House. In the movie, the guy just finished helping a kid, and then decided to steal the kid’s snack and eat it right there in front of him. I think the face in the meme was originally supposed to be a kind of “what are you gonna do about it?” face, but people now use it for disappointment / dread / concern.
The version we see here is “AI enhanced” so it’s somewhat deviated from the original.

I’ve seen this meme used in so many different ways I don’t even know what it’s originally supposed to be for. lol
The original scene is this
Not a single meme using this format has followed the context of the scene.
When it comes to reaction images, the original context doesn’t matter, just what the facial expression captured in that one frame looks like.

(Spongebob was just in the process of sitting down in the chair here)
That is the transformative art of memes in a nutshell
…he’s racist now.
I met a kid on holidays. It was in a caravan park in the gold coast in the 80s. We played Uno at his van, then entered the parks swimming competition. There was a race for teams of two.I was below average, but he swam like a dolphin and we won because of him. I still have the tshirt somewhere.
Had to have been 35 years ago. I vaguely remember what he looked like and what park it was. We banded together and recruited a bunch of other kids to play hide and go seek tag.
Shout out to you homie, wherever you are.
HORROR HORROR HORROR
I would ask for people’s numbers when I was a kid and so this didn’t happen. Phones DID exist, you were just stupid.
… What do you mean you keep in contact with people if I have a phone? What a wild concept
