I am not joking, literally the reason Israel feels threatened by Egypt building a railroad in the largely unindustrialized Sinai is Israel feels that it deserves buffer spaces IN OTHER COUNTRIES where those countries don’t use the land because it would threaten Israel to use land somewhat near their border.
