You forgot bullying control freaks, which propagates the species, IMHO. Bullies tend to be overcompensating for fears by causing others to feel fear. Those fears cause paranoia which leads to irrational “thinking” by short-circuiting & overriding rational thought processes. A significant aspect of that paranoia is the fear of being bullied even more, causing the aforementioned overcompensation. Voila - self-propagation achieved.

Works great in families where children are inducted into the process so early & often that they know no other way of being and have no clue that’s what’s driving them.
