Not exactly the same, but I have a similar peeve with current good white ‘expats’ in foreign nations vs bad dark skinned leeching ‘immigrants’ in our nations. It’s just legitimized yucky everyday racism… I’m moving to Kampuchea (colonial ‘Cambodia’), and no whites are ever immigrants there - always the very respected expats… Apparently I’ll be the first real immigrant in that nation, go figure…
Who are “we”?
I was not so perceptive to see past the propaganda growing up. Thankfully I was curious enough to learn and unlearn later in life. I grew up an apolitical liberal, became a right winger, then a socdem, then found S4A on YouTube and became a Marxist Leninist. I’m still decolonizing my mind.
