Explore the science of color perception and discover “Olo,” a hue visible to only a handful of people. Learn how to potentially perceive this impossible color through a unique visual experiment. This engaging video uses color theory and optical illusions to demonstrate the limits of human vision.
I think I have seen this colour before actually 😅
In nightclubs or light shows where they have a lot of switching between red/orange and intense teal…
Damn that flashbang was brutal, and just before all the red was boiling (it seemed that I was able to see some stark pattern).
What I got was a bit bluer teal, I think. Didn’t feel like a colour that couldn’t be reproduced by adding a bit of blue to the mix, but definitely different than just the teal on the screen on its own.
Interesting video though.
The jump cuts after every sentence made this video entirely unpalatable, maybe it’s just me.
Worked for me, kind of stunning actually. Olo is a terrible name for an electric teal though.
It is for 010: red 0, green 1, blue 0 in the RGB cones
That’s a cool origin, but doesn’t end up sounding particularly memorable I guess
Well, this was the lead scientist on the project:
