“Don’t blindly trust what AI tells you”, says Google’s Sundar Pichai, while cramming AI down our throats.

Tell that to the people who do! They are forced feed from it. Specifically, here in Greece, people try to search things about gov paperwork, which it gets wrong most of the time. It tells you things that are not yet activated.

Is this guy for real? Has he not met like, people, before? That’s exactly what a frighteningly large number of people will do.

In the last week alone I’ve had conversations with people who:

    1. Got diet and meal planning advice from Chat GPT.
    2. Sought financial advice for retirement planning from two different LLMs.
    3. Recited nisinformation from Google’s AI overview as factual.
    4. Most disturbingly, sought veterinary advice from Chat GPT.

None of them questioned what they were told in any meaningful way.

“Do not insert the soldering iron in your ass”, says Lemmy’s Lembot. Lembot is cleverer than Pichai. Lembot at least understands how pathetic this playing Captain Obvious sounds. Pichai doesn’t.

It’s taken him how long to realize that what his AI says isn’t infallible? Interesting. Must have a lot of “yes men” around him.
