Poverty in Africa is being exploited to fuel the war effort in Europe.

Poverty in South America is also being exploited.

I gotta wonder how you even defend the terms of this war anymore when Ukrainians and Russians are no longer fighting it. What happens when the front lines just become a kill-zone for the surplus men of the developing world?

When you consider the scope of what is spent to butcher conscripts and erstwhile mercenaries with high tech explosives, relative to what COP30 says we would need to decarbonize the global economy, it really does speak to the priorities of the world’s largest economies.

The frontline could never become such as they require logistics, so unless a third state party comes along to prop up the soldiers they would be unable to fight due no ammo or to procure new conscripts due to no transportation.

We’ve got mercenaries spilling into the conflict from all over the world. Hence the headline.
