Good. Infinite growth is bad for games.
I don’t believe E33 needs an expansion, but just because games have them doesn’t immediately mean its a bad thing. Some expansions are great. MHW Iceborne and Sunbreak. Most Borderlands game have pretty great expansions as well.
I definitely agree that excessive amounts of expansions can be bad though. Sims 4 comes to mind.

With the way the game ends, I don’t see why there would be a need for an expansion. Only thing I can think of is maybe a prequel story?

Why would they? They already hire massive numbers of contractors when they need to scale up.
