    this is great but I just can’t see how they’re going to get around the state constitution ban on income tax, we’ll lose in the courts and waste a bunch of time, need a fucking amendment to fix this shit

    not to mention that however they’re going to measure “personal income over $1M” won’t actually catch all that many rich fucks, buy-borrow-die continues to shield the wealthy from tax responsibility

    Massachusetts added a graduated income tax on incomes >$1m by ballot measure in 2022 and it raised so much more than projected in 2024 and although there are still holes, has massively helped with public transit.
