I use Fedora, and honestly, I’m not even going to look for alternatives or work arounds unless and until my system actually tries to verify my age.
But that’s good to know, thank you. I imagine that if I do have to dump Fedora, I will probably go to an Arch based system purely for the AUR.
As someone who has used Linux for over a decade, I have no idea how I would even go about replacing Systemd on my computer; even if I wanted to.
Ageless Linux, now that’s something I can get behind: a script that I don’t understand, to accomplish something I think I might need, or just think is neat.
Unfortunately, I don’t use a Debian based distro, so I’m SOL on that front as well.
The problem with this for Iran, which is why I’m skeptical, is that their ability to pressure America comes from their ability to pressure the global economy.
Every exemption made for passage of ships through Hormuz, weakens that pressure.
We’ll just have to wait and see how much they actually let through, if anything at all.
Please stop posting Saudi Arabian propaganda, which is what this outlet is.

So running a local model is unforgivable, but “scientific research” running on hyperscalers, can be justified?
Since no one is leaving critical comments that might explain all the downvotes, I’m going to assume they’re reflexively anti-AI, which frankly, is a position that I’m sympathetic to.
But one of the benign useful things I already use AI for, is giving it criterias for shows and asking it to generate lists.
So I think your project is pretty neat and well within the scope of actually useful things that AI models, especially local ones, can provide the users.
Whenever it’s relevant, I will always remind people that lithium batteries are essentially little bombs.
They are tightly packed energy cells, and the only thing keeping them from causing serious harm or death, is quality of manufacturing, and quality of care once they’re in the consumer’s hand.
Never cheap out on anything power related.
Buying a cheap motherboard or buy cheap SSD’s might mean your computer may break more easily, but buying a cheap power supply, means you might burn your house down - and the same logic applies to lithium batteries, and products that contain lithium batteries.
Finally, a reason to like Cybertrucks.
I hope you go far with your uncritical belief in everything you read, in fact, you’ve inspired me to change.
Thanks to your valuable insight on the dangers of skepticism, I am no longer skeptical of the claims that Hamas used systemic rape and sexual violence on October 7th.
After all, I read that it occurred from multiple sources, and we all know how much many other Arab countries love there systemic sexual abuses and slavery, so thank you for opening my eyes to what my skepticism had prevented me from seeing clearly.
Because that is ultimately what your advocating for, whether you realize it or not.
Because inventing satanic or other forms of ritualized sexual abuse to scare readers is a favorite pastime of mass media, politicians, and law enforcement.
Colloquially known satanic panics, the premier example of why you should be skeptical would be the McMartin preschool case.
But again, I think what we know about this person’s family, should rightfully override that healthy skepticism.
Because this is her mother.
Take note to read about her son, who was convicted of torturing a 7 year old Palestinian boy, and read about how he tortured him.
That’s fucking nuts.
I have a lot of thoughts, but all I can really say is that’s fucking nuts.
Have you seen her mother?
If this was anyone else, I would share your skepticism of the allegations of ritualized abuse.
But given who her parents are, I do not.
No, I’m saying they’re pieces of shit who chose to live in a slave city, and have no problem abandoning their pets.
So no matter how many bombs fall, I will never feel sorry for those expats.
These people had no problem living in a slave city or abandoning their pets to die of thirst, as exemplified by that post.
Which proves my point…
That’s my point…
Go to the regional subreddits. They’re dominated by expats, and I bet you’ll rediscover your sense of schadenfreude right quick.
Those will not block YT ads.
They’ll block ads at a DNS level, but YouTube ads are delivered directly into the video stream.
Nah, it sounds like they were mercenaries hired by militant groups in Mynamar to train them on modern drone and electronic warfare.
So while I’m not going to ever accuse mercenaries of being “good guys”, the terrorism charges are also bullshit, like most terrorism charges are.
