Some of them had .RPM files so that helped

Yeah, package manager. So flat packs are another version of a package manager and a little more
Use the package manager! I have a friend that is an amazing programmer he knows computer software well. But he said Linux is a hassle to use because of updates. I was confused then I found out he would download the .tar.gz and install software manually.
Just get used to using the package manager instead of downloading from the websites like on windows. It takes a minute to get used to but life will be much easier.
Good to know
I feel like it would be but I never got it
Spending money on a crowdfunded Linux device.

workspace code ^^^ for anyone that wants to test it out with me. I don’t have friends to do so :(
Will you package it to flathub?
Why make a peertube client isn’t of partnering with an app the already does peertube?
My only gripe is the default cursor. I hate it
Keep to popular distros. I’d personally recommend Pop os or fedora. Opensuse is up there too just never clicked with me when I was a new users.
I actually have started to discourage people using Ubuntu because of forced snap packages and multiple software store GUIs. It has led to a lot more confusion for new users even though Ubuntu is supposed to be user friendly.
I had an issue like this with a tp-link Wi-Fi adapter in my computer. Never buying from tp-link again
Stop looking for cheap new stuff. Buy cheap used stuff. I got a high quality Thinkpad T530 for $99. I got a T15 Gen 1 as well but honestly is worse than the T530 even though it’s newer.
My friend got a used computer with a 4th Gen i5 and a 970 for $45. Old but gold. We upgraded the CPU and it runs everything great.
Stop contributing to e-waste and buy used
I was in 8th grade so 13-14 years old right?
It doesn’t though. It’s just different and takes time to learn. Like if a PlayStation only user switched to Xbox or a Mac user switching to windows. It’s different. In my experience Mac isn’t “user friendly” because it does shit different. I took some time to learn it. Now it is
Oh no a paid, proprietary, piece of shit software does something shitty. Who could’ve ever saw this coming?!
I’ve said it for years anytime anyone mentioned running a Plex server. As soon as you install that on your server or your homelab it’s no longer your server. Proprietary software is malware
Why are there so many down votes. This seems like an interesting thread idea.
