Hum… If they somehow achieved AGI in the next 6 months, they would be perfectly profitable.
Profits are not at all mathematically impossible. They still wouldn’t by “high-risk VC style” profits, but they would be securely above than “investing in dividend business” territory (or securely within that territory for OpenAI).
Anyway, all they need to do is to create one of the hardest sci-fi concepts that are actually possible, and that none of them has no idea where to even start from.
