Second, get this book. They probably have it at your local library. “Discover What You Are Best At” Linda Gail. I found it years ago while I was on workers’ comp. It lead me to a career I’d never considered.
One good thing about government jobs is that they are free from the constant pressure of Line Go Up and creating Shareholder Value® that are ubiquitous in companies nowadays.
Downside though is that it’s heavily dependent on funding availability or lawmaker fuckery.

Depends on the administration. Some look at these services and think “it’s not profitable” and want to shut it down or privatized it.
