              What’s crazy about requiring short hair in the military? I’m an old hippy with long hair - trust me, that shit gets in my eyes and mouth when it’s windy or I’m doing something at an odd angle, and I’m not even trying to do anything with guns or explosives! More surprising that they let women grow it out only to require it be pinned up anyway!

                The hair rule is not weird at all. It’s the different standards for different people that’s completely bonkers. What would a hairstyle be more problematic on one head but not the other?
