    Has urban guerrilla warfare ever toppled a government? I can’t think of any examples where this tactic was successful.

      It got Ireland independence.

      It got Algeria independence.

      It got Cyprus independence.

      Has vanguardism ever toppled a government in a “developed” country?

        I don’t think so. Most liberation movements have failed. I believe this is because liberation is extremely difficult to achieve.

        I’ll look into those specific struggles but if you have any reading I would be interested.

          Revolution is however far more effective than reform, which has never worked.

          And no sadly, nothing specific that comes to mind. I will Ireland’s story is complex and spans decades of conflict.
