FFS, Hindsight dude. Glam Rock wasn’t even a word when they were popular and before metal shattered into a thousand subgenres for pedants to argue about.
Bon Jovi though; I have trouble believing anyone except some Jersey Boy troll looking for a fight ever called Bon Jovi metal.
Glam Rock was around, and it was what we called it when it existed. But as the wiki says, glam metal came from glam rock. So I guess we were still incorrectly calling it rock and not metal when we were kids. Because it didnt sound like metal. At all.

Yea all of this is a bunch of millennials categorizing stuff they weren’t around for. No one I the 80s called these bands metal.
