Vertical tabs were definitely a hack via a sidebar. But this extension looks like it works just fine with Mozilla’s APIs, and even if it didn’t, Mozilla could just fill in the missing APIs instead. (Container Tabs is a good example of this.)
Odd seeing Mozilla roll out a feature that already existed as a 3rd-party (and recommended!) add-on, but at least it’s not AI.
