First party games do, with the lone exception of Pokopia. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, the game they’re announcing this new pricing difference for, is a proper cartridge.

Pokopia isn’t first party. It’s made by Bamco, same team as Dragon Quest Builders. All of Pokémon games are second party at best.

Are you expecting Duskbloods to be full on cart? Because we all know it’s a From Soft game, not a Nintendo game. Nintendo is only the publisher and I fully expect it to be a key card because it’s not a first party game. Same as Pokopia.

Nintendo publishes its own games on regular carts, and leaves the decision to the makers for the ones it’s only the publisher. If that is not clear to you, I don’t think we have much to talk about.

You understand that the publisher is, in effect, the one who pays for the game to get made, right? The devs were specifically Omega Force, a Koei Tecmo team that has made a lot of games with nintendo properties lately
