The parties aren’t indistinguishable, but their goals are.
Labor has been the pawl in the Coalition’s Overton ratchet in Australian federal politics for the last half a century, and similar dynamics are in place in other jurisdictions, especially where 2 party systems have become entrenched.
Concentration of power is the problem, and needs to be challenged and diluted wherever it congeals.

democrats mad haha
This is the sort of post made by the kinda guy who spends his
rent gofundmemutual aid money on hasan piker subsYou’re the kind of guy who’d vote for genocide.
If it didn’t change anything, those in power wouldn’t try to disenfranchise workers and working class people of their voting rights or make it harder for them to vote.
They’re literally disenfranchising millions of voters, gerrymandering districts, etc. to try and keep people from voting because it still holds power.
I was going to say, aren’t they actually trying to make it illegal in the US? For the big part of the population, at least.
Just because parties fight against each other for the slice of the pie, doesn’t mean anything changes. Capitalism will never be reformed away, it will only be defeated in revolution.
If you think nothing has ever changed by voting people into office, you’re being purposefully blind to things in history.
Just because capitalism hasn’t been overthrown by voting doesn’t mean nothing has changed ever because of it. You are literally watching, in real time, the effects of people’s voting in the form of Trump’s changes to the government.
I’m watching capitalism turn into late stage capitalism, something it was naturally going to do regardless of voters - as it eats itself alive and the illusion of reform and granted freedoms are stripped away.
How did you get these ‘granted freedoms’ in the first place?
Centuries of violent conflict against rulers.
Which led to what? Voting. Democracy.
Which lead to them maintaining hegemony and us at their whim for our “rights” being ripped away at a moments notice.
WTF even is this?
This looks like a lazy Australian remake of a stupid USian meme.
The fact that voting for the Greens in Australia is actually a meaningful thing, in that it can put candidates in government. Pretty much negates the whole concept of this garbage.
Anyway voting is in itself not the problem. Relying on voting as the only avenue for change is the problem. Expecting inattentive voters to see past the daily propaganda they are exposed to and vote for meaningful change is the problem. Expecting cynical voters to see past both of these issues is the problem.
Shit Governments, with member controlled by vested interests is the symptom, not the cause.
Greens candidates can only ever slow decay, they are not and never will be a solution.
Energy wasted pushing for electoral reform is effort taken away from revolutionary means. Spend your 15 minutes at the polls every 4 years, understand you’re not going to fix anything this way, get your sausage, and go home to do anything more useful.
What energy wasted?
Reread my comment.
Fuck this mentality!
Decidedly not true.
While the impact is not as significant as other options, please do not downplay the value of voting.
As always, the answer is “all avenues” not “some because we dont like these ones that much”. Just like protesting or any other form of action - what you can, as you can.
I think Mamdani is great proof (really just the most visible, there are others) that there can be better through voting.
Revolution isn’t a thing that happens overnight. It’s not a thing that - the orgasmic storming of Buckingham palace and everything’s alright in the morning, we’ve got a revolutionary society. We’ve got to realize that as things get harder - when we have a revolution, when we’re headed towards a revolution things’ll be harder still - And when we’ve obtained our revolution it doesn’t stop-it continues on and on and on - It continues on until WE are the moderates. Right? When we are the moderates that’s when we have a revolution. When ordinary people say "Anarchists? Ah, fuck - they’re a load of fuckin’ liberals-they don’t believe in revolution at all, ah , fuckin’ hell they’re useless, like, you know - Yeah, that’s what I wanna see. That’s what I’m fuckin’ fighting for.
This no voting bollocks only serves to hand power to the right. To abolish government we need to replace it but it cannot be replaced if we allow a right wing government to have absolute power to outlaw anything they dislike.
Vote for left wing parties, get a sympathetic government. Or at least a government which is held in check by a strong left opposition. Just remember that a vote every few years isn’t your only contribution to politics. Join a union, volunteer, campaign, make change. But don’t hand power straight into the right’s hands by giving up your vote. A right that many have fought and died for. From suffragettes to working people.

Guess what? Trumo is making it illegal!
Note: This statement should not be read as an excuse from the other activities that support voting — an expression of intent — in terms of disrupting social injustice. Vote, but also sharpen your guillotines and round up the oligarchy.
Now you can focus solely on revolution.
Whatever memes you post, the government wins
If posting memes changed anything
They’d have made it illegal
Uhh buddy, sedition is illegal.
Hilarious to think these memes are doing anything more than making other edgy teens go “haha yeah!!”
Sure sure mate.
You’re right, you’re definitely inspiring a revolution by posting 200 memes a day
This is what I thought if when I saw that german “hobbyless behavior” post the other day
