Are you part of a continuous culture who has a direct claim to the land

Would this mean that Jews in pre-British Mandate Palestine had a moral right to the land which their Arab neighbors lacked?

Genuine question, since obviously the current situation is predicated on a much broader migration of members of the ethnoreligion.
