My neighbour sells shoes and hires an accountant. I buy his shoe business, now the 2nd accountant is redundant and there’s less jobs in the market.

There’s a merger or an acquisition somewhere between point A and B
All mergers/acquisitions are bad for the economy.
I sell shoes and I hire an accountant. My neighbour sells shoes and hires an accountant.
I buy his shoe business, now the 2nd accountant is redundant and there’s less jobs in the market.
But the increased efficiency enables lower prices for consumers.
