I woke up to a lovely rainstorm this morning and thought of this classic.

Do you have a good collection of these?

I’m sadly under-exposed to Addams comics.

I don’t have a comprehensive collection, unfortunately. If you Google around you can find partial collections on sites like this:

        https://www.lambiek.net/artists/a/addams_charles.htm

I’m thinking of buying a book of his comics to share with my kids.

Grew up in the realm of your avatar.

… and I am only happy when it rains.

It’s rainy here today and my dogs aren’t happy about the whole walk situation. It’s nice to have a reminder to try and enjoy it.

One of the best examples is a healthy family.

    Reminds me of another joke.

Edgar Allan Poe, the famously morbid and twisted writer, runs into an old friend. Edgar tells him that he’s just had the best day. He finished two poems and sold them both. He went to the tavern and won three games of chess in a row. And on the way home he found a $20.00 gold piece on the ground.

“Fantastic news, Poe. Sounds like the kind of day that makes you feel glad to be alive!”

    “Meh.”

Kind of cozy in an Adams Family way.

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • AI-generated comics aren’t allowed.
  • Limit of two posts per person per day.
  • Bots aren’t allowed.
  • Banned users will have their posts removed.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
