Yeah it makes you drowsy and can help you sleep. But it’s not a very good sleep and you wake up frequently. I’m a bit surprised they prescribe it to pets or even humans. A muscle relaxer like flexeril would be better for what it is normally prescribed for.
I disagree, in my case as someone with insomnia. I take it for a couple of things, one being insomnia. When I take my insomnia dosage, I sleep very well and very deeply. The key for me is to only take that higher insomnia dosage when I really need it, that way my tolerance for it doesn’t increase.
Like many amputees, I’ve taken boatloads of Gabapentin in my life, but I’ve never achieved that level of stoner face.

You can get dilated pupils from many medications that don’t make you high, but make you look like you’re off you tits on cocaine.
I don’t recall ever looking like that on Gaba, but it looks like this little gal sure gets the magic eyes from it. Maybe it’s a cat thing.
She’s floppy, uncoordinated and is very sleepy on gaba. It definitely helps with her vet anxiety.
