23andme taught me I was part Ashkenazi, but in hindsight I probably should’ve picked up on that having been raised on Mel Brooks, The Three Stooges, Stan Freberg, The Marx Brothers, grandpa’s really being into matzo ball soup, and us having the menorah out during the holidays.

    …oh right, and being circumcised.

Anyways, $200 I didn’t need to spend. I hope the clone Doug armies of the future will forgive me.

Holy shit was it really $200? Is that how much everyone’s been paying for this 23&me shit? Holy fuck I just lost so much respect for several people.

Idk who’s spending $200 on it. It’s $100 for the basic, but it goes on sale often. Same with Ancestry’s test. They always go on sale.

$100 doesn’t make it better. $100 to find out, for most people, absolutely nothing of substance, and they PAID to turn over their DNA for free. I thought it was like a $49.99 kinda thing and even then I wouldn’t have done it and didn’t. And if $100 is the basic, it only goes up from there, no?
