The timing is… Odd. We know that Aang died somewhere in his 30’s. Maybe in his 40’s. And Korra was born when he died. TLOK starts when she is 18. So yeah, TLA’s cast definitely looks way too old for the timing.

I’d guess it’s quite a bit more than 30 years before TLoK. Katara is probably around 80 in that with her children being in their 50s.
