It’s amazing what a difference a little bit of time can make: Two years after kicking off what looked to be a long-shot campaign to push back on the practice of shutting down server-dependent videogames once they’re no longer profitable, Stop Killing Games founder Ross Scott and organizer Moritz Katzner appeared in front of the European Parliament to present their case—and it seemed to go very well.

I love it when someone takes the basket with everyones eggs in it and treats it with respect it makes me understand that truly, the inherent demonic allure of money truly is the reason that government cannot function. There exist passionate and compassionate people that could do the clerical work of government if those positions were not occupied by griefer alpha sociopaths that buy any snakes whisper just for the chance to tell their rival that they met a real slither overlord from a global demonic death house and they’re going to work together
