    I wonder what public funded service will get shut down next as a result of lost tax revenues not being collected by the government.

    Remember taxes fund public services like road repair, traffic light maintenance, sidewalk clearing, schools, hospitals, libraries.

    On top of this with the tax pause I doubt a regular consumer will see a substantial price difference at the pump, seem like the price will stay the same and profits will only increase for shareholders.

    In 6 months they will quietly roll it back because they were fucked by the Petrol Companies. The only winners being the already rich that will become richier

    Now Carney is a banker so 1- he knows and it’s his goal Or 2- he’s wildly conservatively incompetent

      They are loudly stating that it ends on Labour Day.

      This is a political move to once again out-conservative the Conservatives. It definitely benefits the oil lobby as well.

    This is after removing the carbon levy, so basically we decided to subsidize gas with national debt. This is what voters want.
