It’s so dumb. People, not just the UK, are fine with spending loads of money to reduce a problem we cannot avoid: refugees. While those same people are not ok with spending half of that money to treat these refugees like human beings.
They’re also fine with creating refugees in the first place. It’s completely insane.
It’s like setting fire to the neighbor’s house and then get angry your house gets smoke and heat damage. Instead of calling the fire department you invest in expensive fire resistant insulation.
I seem to recall they offered to build a migration processing centre in Calais for considerably less than this when we (the UK) crashed out of the EU.
