A new study led by University of British Columbia researchers has found that pet cats allowed to roam outside unsupervised carry infectious diseases at rates comparable to feral cats, even when they receive veterinary care, regular meals, and shelter.

My cats never go outside. And so as not to hurt their feelings, we tell them they’re too fierce for the coyotes.
We tell our’s and there are bad, bad owls who would snatch him the second he’s off the porch. And he’s a scaredy cat so it has worked so far. :3
