The theory is quite the opposite when you truly consider homo sapiens animals. Are we not allowed to exploit ourselves to seize our means? At what point do we befriend dogs, cats, eagles, etc. to hunt and gather?
Egalitarian societies, the few left, still hunt meat. Still domesticate wolves, eagles, etc…
