The funniest part is watching them research every word to see if there’s some several-hundred year old connotation that could maybe, potentially be considered ableist-adjacent so they can go “Ooo, Ooo! Ableist!!”
Like, clearly they aren’t actually trying to protect anyone from ableism at that point, they’re just fishing for a way to discredit.
I mean they use “stupid” and “idiot” all the time, when I even use them as rarely as possible (and when I do, it is for things and not people).
Edit: I just searched me using “stupid” in posts and comments and this is literally the first comment out of nearly two thousand comments where I mention the word. lol
