This game looks like a hybrid of Ingress and Payphones, or as the article describes it “Pokémon Go x The Matrix”.
California had a similar game running, but it shut down a few months ago:

This looks fun, I miss the ingress days so I’ll give it a go
not only did the network’s operator (Telstra) make using the phones free, but they also turned every single booth into a free wi-fi hotspot.
Fucking socialism and it’s nice things. ;)
I am not anti socialism, but is this not a privately owned company, just doing something nice? People don’t own the booths, they’re just allowed to use them for free, for now.
