The funniest part is that it’s mostly capitalists trying to will a post labor world into existence rather than humans actually being obsolete. They’re self reporting how much they despise you and want to be masters without needing to control their slaves.
The part I noticed is how not a single one of them are trying to create a world where people don’t need to work for money in order to live.
I mean… how would that benefit them specifically? (Add to that how would it fuck over the poors, then further add short-term thinking, now just a dash of yes-people suck-upping, and we get some of it, though generational ideology probably also plays a role.)
