The problem is this is the internet, not your friend group. We don’t know rando strangers on the internet, so I can’t trust that they’re not racist. Furthermore it’s just an overdone and boring joke.
I’m black and yes I do make stereotypical jokes with my friends, but that’s because I know them. And some jokes just never hit anyway.
I get offended on the behalf of others because I want them to understand they’re not wrong for feeling upset or hurt by the crazy shit they see online, because I see crazy shit online and wonder if people think it’s right and or normal.
Literally someone else in the thread just talked about people teasing and bullying them with this joke, so clearly it’s not funny for everybody.
getting offended by a joke is your problem, not the joke-teller’s. no one cares if you don’t enjoy a joke. you just look foolish getting offended by it.
