If you can charge at home. I assume if you live in apartment and charging only at fast chargers it would get expensive fast.
I assume it wouldn’t be that difficult and expensive to build some basic chargers for charging your car over night but I don’t know about this much, and how people would manage to find the parking space with charger since not every flat gets their own parking usually.
It depends on where you live, but in most places, even the most expensive rapid charger is still cheaper than fuel. That’s not even including the lower maintenance costs of EVs.
You do miss out on the convenience of home charging, and that is a pretty big deal for most people. The best part about an EV is waking up to a full charge every day and never having to stop to fill up.
If you have enough money for the upfront cost, electric cars are cheaper over their lifetime.
Not starting a war is both cheaper upfront and ongoing.
