Microsoft is finally giving Windows 11 users more control over the taskbar again, including full screen-edge placement and a smaller, more compact mode. The update also improves how menus and window labels behave depending on the taskbar position.
I’m using for steam gaming mostly. I can’t get some of the more popular type games playing, and then also some stopped working. I’m afraid that I messed up some proton settings and I was thinking of switching to bazzite, but I want to actually know what I’m doing when it comes to configuration of my environment so that it takes as little tinkering as possible
Can you try installing ProtonUp? You can use it to install the latest version of Proton-GE. Proton-GE is a more up to date version of Proton with extra fixes.
Oculus Rift CV1 and OVR. Logitech G29, it’s rewuired Ghub shit softeare and some Win Registry tweaks to better control it. DSX, LosslessScaling, Povohat Mouse Accel, Razor Synapse a bunch of game mods like NorthStar for Ttitanfall, CheatEngine (for sp games evidently) and a couple Switch/PS2-3 emulators.
The G29 appears to work when set to PS3 mode. OpenRGB does everything I used Razer Synapse for. I don’t know which emulators you use but PCSX2, RPCS3, and Ryujinx work great on Linux. There is a Linux equivalent for CheatEngine. I’ve never used it however. I have no experience with VR but this might help. I think you’ll find alternatives to most things you need. The only way to know if Linux will work for you is to try it.
Only took them 5 years to figure out the new taskbar was objectively inferior to the old one.
Unfortunately I don’t think that was the only thing keeping people from moving over to Win11.
I mean my game plan is to move over to Linux once the situation on Win10 becomes unmanageable.
I’m really enjoying Arch and KDE on my work PC
Happy to help if you decide to switch.
Hey I would love an opinion on my build. I have a build with Linux mint I tried and it isn’t working as well as I would like
What sort of issues are you having?

Same. If it wasn’t for a handful of gaming related apps and peripherals, I’d be on Linux already.
May I aak which apps and peripherals?
Sure!
