    It’s worth noting that they have a much different base/bonus pay structure than workers in the US, which is not mentioned in the article. Samsung Korea employees can be making half of the base pay that equivalent Samsung America employees make, but have a much higher bonus percentage to make up for that. This makes their pay much more volatile based on market forces. On a bust year they may get zero bonus. Seems unfair to cap how much bonus they can get in a good year, but not cap how low it can go in a bad one.
