Pardon my Spanish but how do you call that in German? I know english has no word for “stuff between normal breads”, that’s not a sandwich. In Spain we call it “bocata”. Do you have a distinct word to differentiate from a sandwich?
It’s a pet peeve of mine, alongside calling everything “salami”.
In English they are called Sub from “submarine sandwich”, based on traditional Italian style sandwiches that are the same as Bocatas. That is also where Subway restaurants get their name.
But yes, the issue is that nor in Germany nor England have the “normal” bread, which they call Baguette.
The closest thing I would say for Germans is a Brötchen, which in Spanish would be like a panecillo. What you are seeing in the picture is a Bratwurst Brötchen
This is how the people in Nuremberg eat Bratwurst.
Once again German science proves to be the best in the world.
What condiments are on it? Relish?
Once again?
What else are you referring to?
wow! windows you cannot clean! wunderbar!
I think they’re referencing jojo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2ElkIqJXGE
Though, the jojo character is a nazi and does a nazi salute in the moment.
Hamburger obviously
Don’t get a hamburger in Hamburg, they’re terrible. The fish sandwiches are good though.
Boah jetzt drei im Weckla

Test results are in: you are HIV salami.
Spoken like a true salami.
