If it were an episode it would’ve have had the scale it did. But otherwise I agree. You either like the characters and are willing to give some latitude to enjoy their adventures… or you don’t. In any event, I 100% agree that nothing in the movie really demands to be seen on a huge screen or with a fancy sound system.
Worth the money depends. A ticket is less than 2 months of Disney+. Less than 1 if you see a mantinee. But, if you already subscribe (which seems likely if you like the characters), that is moot. Anyway, just trying to put that into perspective. My wife and I saw it on the best local screen, and it ran us about $60 with popcorn, candy, and soda. It was fine for a date night and gave us something to talk about.
That’s the thing, I don’t agree that it had a scale requiring a movie. To me it felt like they took a random episode, filled it out with some little extra fluff and called it a day.
Tap for spoiler
It was literally the generic script of “Mando and Grogu takes down another local crime lord” which we have seen several times before.
But, I’m glad you enjoyed it and had a nice date night 😉
