I had a casual conversation yesterday with a woman who walked up to us to pet our dog.

She talked about how she works for an organization that tries to rescue dogs world wide from danger zones, like war zones. Super interesting person, very nice

She talked a bit about how they rescued dogs from Gaza and then how apparently the Israel government of all helped them rescuing those dogs. She then stopped for a second and the sad look in her eyes shows she very clearly understood the point that for Israel, dogs are worth more than Palestinians.

But criticizing Israel is the same as antisemitism now, so I guess I’m an antisemite

Monsters are very real. To call them dogs is to insult life itself. Dogs can be put down. Monsters simply carry on. Who can stop an army of monsters? Due to the size of the apartheid, it would need to be a coalition of states that completely cut Israel off from the world.

How else could it be done? The one certain thing is that Israel must be stopped. Even if there was no accountability, no consequences at all, it would mean saving the lives of countless people.

just as I’ll never forgive the US for electing Trump and keeping him in power, Israel’s bibi problem is going to keep making things shitty until gone.

Putin too. I’ve never seen three world leaders trying so hard to make Xi look good ffs

We need to try out best to teach world history and the common factors in each region’s changes that lead to the situation we are currently in

this is the dream. I saw a video recently, will try to find it, that talked about the Medici’s desire to teach greek and roman principles to prevent internecine conflict… and it led to the wars that Machiavelli wrote The Prince in response to. iirc. it is late…

I think it’s in this Ada Palmer video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAIhVfGbREA
