Kyle Eastwood has composed some of his father’s film music, including three of the Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino music, this time in partnership with Michael Stevens. It was this last film, released in 2008, that was screened to open the evening. The opportunity for Kyle Eastwood to work with this living legend that is his father.
“I have a lot of good memories of working with him. Now he’s retired, he’s 95. But I was very lucky to be able to work with him on a lot of movies”, observes Kyle Eastwood. “It was a great experience for me*.”
He starred in and directed a number of great ones!
He wasn’t all the great as an actor and his direction was more often than not pedestrian, but he just has the “special sauce” on screen.
Shame he couldn’t keep his right wing bullshit to himself later in life and how he treated Sandra locke was disgusting. So that really tarnished my opinion of him.
Anyway enjoy retirement.
