It’s a pretty widely discussed plot hole. But like plot holes are what you get when you start writing a story that you never expected to finish and then after you finish it decide that was the middle of the story.

Maybe there’s an explanation though. Like, Vader is just super powerful and figured it out while in his meditation sphere?
