I was just a light board op, who happened to overhear the lead rigger drop the “ChatGPT hallucinated and I was too stupid to double-check it” line. I just ran the “rigger grossly miscalculated the weight of this screen” alert up the flagpole, but it ultimately wasn’t my name on the rig. Not my circus, not my monkeys. But once that was pointed out and they realized the mistake, that’s when they busted out the lift and started hanging more motors. So at least they accepted the mistake and fixed it, instead of just brushing it off.
