Pinball is the most retro game I know of that isn’t a sport. It’s also way more impressive than a video game, to me. It takes a lot of work not just to build the table, but to balance it so it isn’t boring to play like a lot of the earliest pinball machines.
Making a pinball machine “from scratch” is one of the things on my bucket list. Having repaired a few over the years and seeing the insane cleverness/trickery that goes on inside, I’ve pushed it down toward the bottom :)
