I refuse to let this corrupt organization take away a game that my family grew up watching, playing, and bonding over. We don’t see each other that often now and I want to catch a game or two with them.

I’m in Canada

Don’t watch them. Its not taking away the game. Watch other matches just don’t watch world cup.

I don’t align with this company but let me watch it anyways. At that point just watch it since your twisting yourself to justify yourself.

Self-justification aside, the effect of pirating the games (Fifa gets no money) vs not pirating the games (Fifa gets money) is substantially different.

If you are going to watch a game, Fifa would rather you pirate their game than someone else’s. It’s still free advertising when you discuss the game with friends or online.

I would argue that almost all professional football at this point is morally bankrupt. The German league may be the least at face value (50+1 ownership rules, genuine grassroots involvement etc.), but I’m sure it the owners of the clubs aren’t really interested in you or I at the end of the day.
