The UK government is giving Apple and Google three months to build on-device scanning infrastructure. This isn’t about child safety; it’s about the end of private devices and the death of the “nothing to hide” fallacy.
Everyone is talking about the privacy issue, and I agree that this is an egregious violation of the core principals of human rights.
I’d also like to point out that these guys, already proven to be rampant pedos, will be using this tech to get nudes of every child within their jurisdiction. They will be keeping these nudes, gooning to these nudes, and trading them like Pokemon.
This isn’t just a rights issue. Every child is about to become part of a CSAM ring.
Privacy isn’t dead.
We just have to understand the plot at hand, and then act accordingly.
