The key word in the headline is “tools.”
They want to make “tools” that allow them to redirect the costs of employing storyboard artists and other craftspeople into the hands of tech companies.
And they’re trying to sell this to all of us by saying “hey, don’t worry, you’re not going to end up with a bunch of Nicolas Winding Refn-ass looking AI slop Sora movies.”
But ultimately this means fewer creative people making livings and more misanthropic psychopaths becoming billionaires. It gives the rich access to creativity without giving creative people access to riches.
I care more about that than AI slop in movies.
Well I guess A24 is done making good movies, It was bound to happen eventually but to get enshittified by AI is just insulting.

Was exactly thinking about CorridorKey when seeing this headline. A24 could end up with a suite of expert tools that deliver excellent results with way less human labor. This could ultimately increase the ambitions of low budget production
